Ararat B&B

Among all the places I stayed in Armenia, this was the best. The host couple were very kind, and I had a happy time with their children. They treated me to delicious dinners and breakfasts, creating great memories. I’d love to visit again on my next trip to Armenia, and I believe it would be a very comfortable stay for Koreans and Japanese alike. Everything was satisfactory; if you want meat, it’s recommended to buy it from a butcher in advance because the farm raises chickens only, so you’ll need to bring beef and pork yourself, but everything else is available here.

My four‑day stay here was outstanding. The food was plentiful and all sourced from the garden, and the whole family was very friendly and welcoming—perfect for birdwatching, and I’d recommend the location for that purpose.

We spent three days at Guesthouse Ararat as a base for hikes, birdwatching, and nature walks. The guesthouse itself is lovely, situated on the edge of town with a huge garden, and the hosts are extremely kind and helpful. Dinner was fantastic, featuring a variety of Armenian dishes that the host herself cooked, using ingredients gathered from the garden or the mountains. Breakfast was equally excellent—diverse and generous, served on the terrace, and when it rained we could enjoy it in the apartment’s breakfast room. The garden, visible from the terrace, is a beautiful fruit and vegetable plot. Everything was spotless and well maintained, making it the best guesthouse on our three‑week Armenian trip; we wholeheartedly recommend Ararat B&B.

I especially liked the host family—so welcoming and friendly. They prepare meals from their own garden produce, and the accommodation offered everything you could need: plenty of space, a cozy bed, and a great spot in a charming wine village.
