The staff were incredibly friendly.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms are small, but set up as efficiently as possible. Breakfast was fine and the free soft drinks and alcohol from 17:00 to 21:00 were very pleasant after a rainy day. It’s a good hotel for a night or two as a stop on the way to Mount Fuji. From the hotel you can also easily go to the Premium Outlets of Gotemba. From Gotemba you can take a bus for two trails toward Mount Fuji (Gotemba trail and the Subashiri trail). The rooms can feel small for some people.
