“We found heaven in Nubia!”
I’m torn between telling everyone about this hidden gem or keeping it to myself, but it truly deserves all the praise: we loved everything about the property, the team, and the location; we had three rooms for ourselves, so we could relax and feel at home after busy mornings of work; the design is beautiful with all modern comforts considered; the firm mattresses gave us excellent sleep; such detail and quality are rarely found in Upper Egypt, and the solitude of the location was greatly appreciated; the best part was the team led by Youssef, the host—nothing was too much trouble, and because we were there for work, we had many odd requests, yet they didn’t bat an eye and delivered far above expectations every time; we will never forget the humble generosity of the team; the food is next‑level delicious Nubian, homemade and full of care and love you can taste; one night we dined on a neighboring island and another night at a neighboring Nubian house; the location lets you walk through an authentic Nubian cluster of homes, some dilapidated and some abandoned, but it all adds to the beauty of the experience—a photographer’s dream spot; if you’re well‑traveled and looking for a piece of heaven found only in nature and authentic living, this is your place; book the whole place for yourself to truly escape the ordinary and enjoy! There is nothing to dislike.
