Located in Dubuque, Iowa, overlooking the Mississippi River, the Grand Harbor Resort and Waterpark features free Wi-Fi, flat-screen cable TVs, and in-room microwaves, refrigerators, and tea/coffee facilities. The 25,000 square foot water park offers waterslides, pools, hot tubs, and a lazy river. The hotel is adjacent to the Mississippi Riverwalk and within a mile of Dubuque city centre.

There was nothing to praise, and everything was a let‑down.

The staff was very helpful and friendly, yet the room suffered from damaged curtains, walls, and bathroom fixtures, was dusty and poorly maintained, the breakfast was very limited and crowded, and the cost of the room was overpriced for those not interested in the water park or arcade.

The location was fine, but a cigarette smell, dirty pillows, and a smoke alarm that went off four times at 1 am because of work and maintenance elsewhere ruined the stay, and the water park was closed during the day, opening only until 4 pm.

The staff were clean and friendly, but the water park was closed and the booking did not inform us of that, and in the arcade only half of the games worked.
