I managed to snag last‑minute accommodation in Marrakech, slept well, and woke up safe and sound. However, it was filthy, infested with cockroaches, and felt like I’d walked into someone else’s room that was already occupied. There was a computer and work notes on whiteboards that clearly belonged to a resident, except for the night I stayed. The bathroom and kitchen were even worse, so I won’t even mention them.
