I didn’t think it was special at all, but the steep hillside with narrow paths made getting there a challenge, and there’s no restaurant nearby. The breakfast was bad, and the owner only speaks French.

The place was gorgeous, with a great view, a nice room, and a lovely pool. The host was friendly and not only excited about his unique Land Rover but also gave us a fantastic route suggestion for our drive to Castellane. The only downside was that there was a sign on the wall saying “Le Jas de Volonne”; you only realize you’re there when the host steps outside and says you’re in the right spot.

The host was helpful and gave excellent advice. Breakfast was very good. The room was spacious. Direct access to a fully equipped communal kitchen is a real plus. The place was quiet, and many sites and villages were close by. The parking in front of the rooms means cars are always in front of your eyes, but given the slope there may not be other options, and it doesn’t disturb the peace.

Breakfast was fantastic, plentiful, and the croissants were excellent. The location was perfect for our plans. Michel and his partner were charming, very friendly, and always ready to help with anything we needed. The pool was incredible, with views of the entire valley that made time slip away.
