The staff were brilliant, the room was lovely and the bed extremely comfortable, the location was perfect and the grounds were lovely. Unfortunately the shower was too high, water sprayed out the back of the tub and pooled, then leaked out the front, flooding the floor; I mentioned it a couple of times and was told, “they’re all like that.” The rain caused condensation on the windows and everything felt damp, and the rooms—especially the bathrooms—could use a deep clean and repair.

The breakfast fell short of expectations with very limited options and below‑average taste. The bathrooms were old, with bad fittings that need replacement.

The staff were accommodating and very flexible, the laundry service and housekeeping were the best, and the restaurant staff were great with delicious food; the garden was beautiful. The hotel should invest in an electricity generator or backup because power in Kathmandu is unreliable and drops for 60 seconds 3–5 times a day. They didn’t check the room I booked at check‑in and gave me a very tiny room for the first night before I complained.
