The hotel places great emphasis on comfort, with very good beds and everything impeccably clean. It is situated in a rural setting, surrounded by a large park with mature trees, and staying there with the window open was absolutely quiet. The hotel is currently undergoing renovations, so expect some daytime noise during weekdays. The staff were very friendly and professional. In the restaurant, liver pâté and frog legs are served.

It’s hard to give an objective judgment because the hotel‑restaurant is undergoing extensive restoration and transformation, so it might be better afterward. The setting of Petit Kohlberg, in the middle of the countryside, exudes calm and tranquility except on weekends! If you can, avoid that part of the week unless you enjoy crowds and noise in the restaurant’s dining room.

“Jederzeit gerne wieder!!”

The friendly reception and a very good dinner left a strong impression of the stay. The restaurant is cozy and the Alsatian specialties are impressive. The ongoing renovation and the resulting breakfast restrictions should be considered slightly negative, although they were foreseen beforehand.

The location and local food are positives, but note that the hotel is undergoing major renovations, so the sleeping areas are only reachable from the construction site.

“L'accueil familial”

The setting is always beautiful and the team, led by Anita and Marie-Claude, greets you warmly. The rooms are spotless and the meals are generous and delicious. I’m already looking forward to next year for more of the adventure. There was a bit more noise than usual, but it was temporary and didn’t bother me much.
