“I like Lakeshore Suites”
The staff across reception, the restaurant, cleaning, and security were exceptional. The restaurant staff, especially the breakfast chef—whose name I can’t recall—introduced me to the “dosa masala” for breakfast, and the servers and morning restaurant manager were also excellent. The location is great for shopping and dining, and I felt completely safe throughout. The airport pickup service is excellent and reasonably priced; despite our flight being delayed for hours and arriving at 2:00 AM, the driver waited and was incredibly courteous, making us feel very welcome in Dhaka. The constant power outages were unfortunate, though I know they were not the fault of Lakeshore Suites and that management did their best to handle the situation. On August 26 the electricity and Wi‑Fi went on and off for about three hours, which was quite disruptive while I was working on an important report. There was also a time when the tap water came out murky, but management quickly sent a letter of apology. It also took two days for my request for a reading lamp to be fulfilled.
“This is the best hotel.”
I liked everything: the staff were very friendly, the rooms were spacious with a large balcony that felt like a terrace, the linens were clean and housekeeping was excellent, and the breakfast was great with something new every day. The hotel offers its own airport transfer for $20 USD, is located near an outlet store, and sits slightly back from the main street, making it very quiet. The neighborhood felt safe; we walked there in the evenings without any problems. Several bars nearby let you enjoy local beer or other drinks. I recommend this hotel. The fridge, however, has inefficient cooling.
The staff were very welcoming, but the gym and the restaurant felt cramped and too small for the number of guests.
“Good & comfortable”
It was good, but overall it was just okay.
The food was tasty, especially the breakfast items, but the intercom in my room didn’t work at all.
