The staff were very friendly and the room was spotless. The food, however, was disappointing – the fish had an extreme fishy taste like it was spoiling, which felt off compared to other places I’ve tried. I also expected dinner and breakfast to be served in the room, but the banquet hall felt less warm and cozy than the room or a typical restaurant. Children on the other side of the retractable wall were shouting, and there was no clear information about whether a yukata was required for dinner. More guidance would have helped.

The atmosphere felt luxurious and clean. The view and the timing for laying out the futon were problematic.

I loved the onsen, and the breakfast was delicious. We were greeted with tea and sweets, which was such a nice surprise. The ryokan is well located, very close to Kyoto Station. The room was also very clean and spacious, and the futons were very comfy. I will definitely come again.

The traditional Japanese camera was beautiful, and the experience in the huge room was great. The slippers were too small.
