Good location, equipment, and breakfast.
The breakfast selection was fantastic, featuring a wide variety of regional products and high quality. There was free parking and the spa area was modern, clean, and spacious. I especially liked the history of the place and the fact that even H.C. Andersen stayed there. A small ferry right by the hotel crosses the river in just 3 minutes and costs 5 Euro by car. I strongly recommend visiting the town of Winsen on the other side or going for a bike ride in the area. The only downside was that the kitchen in both hotel restaurants closed at 20:30 on weekends. My friend arrived late because of traffic and we weren't prepared to order food before closing, but they kept her meal warm until she arrived at 21.
“Tolle Auszeit an der Elbe.”
The staff were very friendly and the location was great.
“Ein Ort zum Wiederkommen”
I stayed in a great spot, the mattresses were excellent, the staff were very helpful, the breakfast was superb, and the cleanliness was flawless. The only thing that could use improvement is the reading light and the lighting around the bathroom mirror, as the distance between face and mirror is quite large.
The room was very nice and the staff were courteous. The downside is that the room is located in the annex building, which has no elevator.
