It looked nice and the staff were sweet and helpful, but the location felt too remote and like a ghost resort, and the food was really not good.

The staff were kind, the lake view from the bungalows was great, and the bungalow itself was big and comfortable; at 20:30 the restaurant was already closed because there were few guests, yet the staff still cooked us boxed pasta and beef strips for us 😅.

A wonderful, quiet place to unwind. It’s a bit remote, but perfectly positioned as a stop between the Chinese border and Hanoi, easily reachable by train and then taxi; the tree‑house‑style rooms with lake view are a real highlight; the property is authentic, secluded and away from mass tourism; the staff are super friendly and very helpful, even language barriers were solved without trouble; the food is fresh, tasty, and many ingredients come from the own garden.

The bungalow itself was nice, but the view was over a muddy pond; the swimming pool was dirty when we arrived, leaves were removed but the water wasn’t clean, there were no sun‑tents and it wasn’t well maintained; the surroundings were good but not kept up; we never saw the lake, the photo on Booking was a big liar; some food was okay but the simple beef noodles were oily and the beef was hard to eat; there was no fruit juice, no smoothies, only coke; and when we paid the bill they added taxes that are normally included in the price; there was no English at all.
It was like a ghost hotel: no chef, no food when we arrived in the afternoon, no receptionist at the front desk, no activities as advertised in the photos, literally nothing to do and no service; the bed was as hard as a rock; the food was horrific; we had a horrible time there.
