What we liked: location What could be better: This hotel feels more like a 2-star establishment than a 4-star one, likely only rated as such to justify higher tourist taxes. The room is cramped and small, with a double bed that's really only suitable for one person. The shower appears to be from the 1960s and the towel rack is unstable. The lobby is small with only one armchair, and guests are not allowed to lounge there without making a purchase. Smoking in the lobby is strictly prohibited, and even at night, the chairs are locked away. The hotel has a peculiar policy of refusing credit card payments, insisting on cash instead. There are far better options in Rome, so it's best to avoid this hotel.

Disappointing Experience with Room and Staff What we liked: The hotel's location What could be better: The room was in a deplorable state, with flooring protruding from the floor, which I unfortunately cut my toe on. The walls and decor were subpar, featuring unsightly paintbrush marks covering various areas, likely attempting to conceal previous marks but executed poorly. The small, elevated square window offered a disheartening view of a brick wall. The entrance hall leading to the bar area was uninviting, with empty tables. When I attempted to sit there while waiting for my wife, the bar manager was extremely rude, informing me that I couldn't sit there unless I purchased a drink, despite the area being largely empty.
