The place is dreamy, in a very quiet area that invites rest and disconnection. The host was always very helpful with any questions we had, giving us good recommendations. The villas are truly beautiful, fully equipped for a good stay. We weren't on holiday but working remotely, so internet was essential, and the Wi‑Fi worked flawlessly. Although it is a bit far from the city (20‑30 minutes by car or motorcycle), we appreciated the chance to be slightly away from the urban bustle yet still enjoy peace. The mountain views are gorgeous, and the pool is huge and always in perfect condition. I can’t think of anything I didn’t like. I highly recommend it.

The staff was incredibly sweet; I appreciated their kindness and welcoming attitude. I didn’t like the location—it felt a bit secluded for me, but if that’s what you’re after, the location is perfect.

The Hideaway is peaceful, the villas are well built and comfortable with Netflix and air conditioning. The pool and surroundings are lovely and tranquil. The nearby Wild Thyme café serves great food at a good price. Check‑in was easy. It’s ideal for a short, relaxing stay away from Chiang Mai’s hustle. We received a message from the owner that they would be away during our stay and we had to pay for our room at the adjacent café at a set time, which was a bit annoying to arrange. We asked the owner about local laundry facilities and scooter rentals but never got a reply. A housekeeper there only spoke Thai, making communication tough since we seemed to be the only guests. We weren’t given much information about the local area, which is about a 25‑minute drive outside Chiang Mai in a rural setting. Fortunately, we sorted out scooter hire ourselves; otherwise, you’d need a rental car or a Grab, as it’s not very close to anything. Our villa had a kitchen with a microwave, some cutlery and crockery, but no dish‑washing supplies, and the rooms were not serviced daily. The little details make a big difference!

The place was quiet and clean, but there was no staff and no Wi‑Fi password.
