“It got us through.”
I skipped breakfast, so I can’t comment on that. The beds lacked proper blankets – just a thin sheet over the flat sheet. There were no power outlets near the bed, so my baby couldn’t charge the iPad in bed; the only outlets were one by the room door near the floor and another next to the refrigerator and laptop. The bathroom was so cramped that I couldn’t even turn around. The mirror was nice, the fridge was large and clean but leaked, and the smoke detector was removed from the wall – I’m sure that’s because people smoke in the room. The room smelled of smoke, so I went to the Dollar Tree, bought cleaning supplies and an air freshener to improve the scent. Aside from all that, it got us through the two days we needed to be near the AFB.
