“Awesome”
We arrived to find our accommodation occupied by builders, my heart sank; a carry‑on film immediately came to mind! I’d booked and paid for this month in advance, but all was not lost, even though the hotel was closed for August, the booking was still valid. The staff did absolutely everything to accommodate us, we were given an upgraded sumptuous second room, they tidied up the ground floor, put out tables and chairs so we could enjoy our meals, and also the terrace above for us to chill. After a wander we came back to our room and found it transformed. Our housekeeper Fad was an absolute treasure, warm and friendly, nothing was too much trouble for her. Absolutely nothing else, we were treated like royalty!
