We had to cancel immediately because the hotel was completely unusable; everything was dirty, many things broken, the furniture looked like it had been thrown together, and the beds and mattresses were in a poor hygienic state. The staff consisted of an apparently overwhelmed mother who loudly argued with her teenage son at our arrival, and she didn’t even have us on her radar.

The hotel feels like a relic, almost a museum, with décor that is overly religious and cluttered with papers and cardboard at the bar and in the kitchens. The rooms are furnished with second‑hand furniture, a decades‑old TV that doesn’t work, and an antenna cable hanging unconnected. Breakfast offers many items, but the bread was reheated and the cold foods—charcuterie, yogurts, cheese—were not refrigerated. On top of that, the card payment was not accepted when we settled the bill. The price is far too high for the services provided.

The woman running the hotel was very friendly and relaxed, and the old‑world charm of the place was exactly what I liked, though the location wasn’t the best, it was still fine.

It’s a very romantic spot, charming though a bit run‑down, and the owner is a single woman who works hard. The place was full, yet her humor and effort never faded, and we enjoyed the “youth hostel” vibe; if you’re not after luxury, it’s acceptable. However, it’s far too expensive overall, and even the food was overpriced despite being freshly cooked. The only advantage is that reviews let you snag a room up until the last minute.

I managed to book a room at the last minute, but when I arrived the hotel was empty and no staff were present until the next‑day breakfast. It felt odd and even a bit frightening to arrive like that, and the mattresses were unusually bad for the price.
