The staff were the most amazing people; they did everything to make our vacation perfect. We “upgraded” our room to their hotel because we needed AC. The food here is also amazing, the best on the island. The room did not have AC, and I missed that detail when booking.

The employees were very lovely, and the bar and location were great. First of all, the room was only half the size described. The promised terrace was a rooftop that wasn’t attached to the room and had no barrier. The bedsheets had bloodstains and white stains that could be scratched off; we asked for new sheets, and the staff offered to cancel the booking or upgrade if we paid more. We insisted we only wanted new sheets and towels and were fine with that. Ten minutes later we got everything and changed the sheets ourselves. The bathroom wasn’t cleaned; there was hair on and under the toilet seat, old soap in the shower tray, and half‑empty shampoo and shower gel bottles. The socket is between the bathroom and entrance door, so charging the phone was a bit of a hassle. I recommend the bar for drinks but cannot recommend the hotel itself, even though the employees were very nice.

More for future travellers: The bungalows are right next to the Hotel M'Pay Bay Hotel, and check‑in is at M'Pay Bay Hotel. The bungalow is nice and located very central next to the main road, and we had a lovely stay. The location is great in the sense that it is very central and close to everything, but that also means it’s in the middle of all the hustle and bustle and can get a bit noisy at times. The garden area between the Hotel and the Bungalows could use better upkeep; there appear to be leftovers from construction, which take away from the relaxing atmosphere of the property.

Location and food were fine, and the staff were friendly. I was put in a tiny room that had rotten water outside the window, nothing like the photos. It was not clear on site where you’d be put; I would appreciate a refund because I feel I was in a hostel room. The bathroom was dirty, with previous guests’ sanitary items in the bin that weren’t even changed after I mentioned it twice.

Food was okay and the staff were friendly. The room was dirty and didn’t match the photos, so I was disappointed. I couldn’t be sure I would get a refund if we moved out. I couldn’t reach the owner for advice, so I cancelled my second booking there and hope to receive a full refund.
