“FRAUDE, SCAM, NO MONEY, NO PLACE TO STAY, VERY UNFRIENDLY”
I’m warning people not to book this place—it’s a scam! I rated this review as “excellent” hoping it would appear at the top and warn others. The host only communicated via WhatsApp. A few hours before our arrival, she sent a message asking for passport photos. Shortly after, she mentioned problems with the apartment and suggested we might not be able to stay there. She then forwarded a link to a different apartment. We didn’t want that one (it was in the middle of town instead of a natural setting); we wanted the original booking or a refund. I also found it odd that the apartment she offered wasn’t bookable. I wondered if she’s trying to lure tourists with photos and then offer a worse place. I asked her on WhatsApp if we could still stay in the original apartment (the Bingo). She stayed silent for hours. Because we were about to fly, I asked her to cancel so we could find another option. She replied there was no problem and we could come. Unfortunately, our flight got canceled. After a lot of stress, we booked an alternative flight for the next day. We informed the host that we would arrive a day later and asked if that was okay. We didn’t request a refund, just a one‑day delay for check‑in, which seemed reasonable. She didn’t show any sympathy for the canceled flight but replied “ok.” We were relieved everything was fine and prepared for the next day’s flight, only to see her delete her messages. She then clicked the option to cancel the booking, citing that “we didn’t check in on time.” The apartment was never seen. The host is notably slick, communicating only via WhatsApp and refusing to refund. There’s no evidence in the platform chat. When I tried to continue the conversation on the platform, she was brief and vague, avoiding accountability.
