The hotel’s proximity to downtown Porto, restaurants, a laundromat, a supermarket, and sightseeing spots was convenient. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The floors squeaked and there was no separate bathroom.

I liked the location, the food, and the service. The ambience and balcony were appealing, and the building had been renovated. The desk area in the room was useful. However, there was no elevator, so I had to climb three flights of stairs. Light switches were placed illogically and weren’t labeled, and there was no separate shower room.

The hotel was beautiful and I loved the design touches. The room was gorgeous and the bed was super comfortable. I enjoyed the bath. It was light and airy, and the ceiling was stunning. It was clean and bright. The kitchen was closed for my stay, which was a shame. I didn’t mind it, but the shower over the clawfoot bath could be tricky if you have mobility issues.

This place was perfect for me. The staff were friendly, the room comfortable, the garden beautiful, and it was quiet. I couldn’t have asked for a better stay. If you’re looking for a typical hotel, this isn’t it. If you want a home away from home with friendly staff and a lovely environment, this is the spot. It would have been nice to buy snacks, and the on‑site food availability was unreliable—probably because I arrived off‑season. Everything I ate was delicious.

The kitchen was closed on the days we were there, which was a bummer.
