The place was decent and very comfortable to live in, and the owner was very considerate, accommodating the delays I had. The place was very hot; I think air‑conditioning would be better suited than fans.

The staff were very friendly and the neighbourhood stayed quiet, which made the stay feel relaxed. The place sits close to the beach, the mall and uShaka Marine World, so my Uber fares stayed low. I appreciated the privacy because I had my own space and didn’t have to share any rooms; that was a pleasant surprise since it’s a guesthouse. The Wi‑Fi was reliable and the TV had streaming services, adding to the comfort. However, the white towel left lint on my skin, which was uncomfortable, and in Durban’s tropical climate small lizards can slip into the room if windows or doors are left open.
