We liked how close the ski runs were and how the staff stayed cheerful late into the evening even as the season ended; we were also pleasantly surprised by the nicely furnished room with a view of the Aiguilles d'Arves and a mountain‑inspired décor; access to the spa and pool were extra perks included in the price. The breakfast buffet could have offered more variety, and our room was missing a small tray with a kettle and coffee, tea packets.

The location was good, the staff were friendly, and we enjoyed a reasonably priced ‘pension’ meal on the first night. However, despite the brochure saying reception closes at 2230 and the door signs saying the hotel shuts at 2300, we were frustrated to find the hotel locked at 2150; an employee outside smoking tried to help by taking us through the staff quarters, but the internal doors were locked. Eventually someone opened the door for us, told us we should have used the room key, and when we pointed to the signs they shrugged and gave no apology.
