“A welcome retreat when visiting Hoi An”
We appreciated the quiet surroundings, watching rice paddies and vegetable plots from the property in the mornings and evenings. Finding the place was a bit tricky at first, but once we did, the layout was straightforward, with a local bakery, café, supermarket, and restaurants all close by. The bathroom’s silicone and grout were in poor condition, giving the room a dirty, tired feel that clearly needed a refresh. Hot water never reached the temperature we expected, so we ended up taking cooler showers, which actually felt like a relief from the heat. Like most spots in Hoi An, there’s no elevator, so carrying luggage up and down stairs is part of the experience. Communication before and during our arrival was excellent; we barely saw any staff in person, yet they were very attentive through text messages, ensuring everything went smoothly. Sally, in particular, was a wonderful host even though we never met her face‑to‑face.
