The value for money was very good, and the location was wonderful with superb views. The hotel’s amenities were also nice. Nothing particularly noteworthy to mention, except that the restaurant was the least positive; the food quality was not up to par.

We liked the comfort and the quality of the staff. We were disappointed to learn that the spa area was no longer available, and that information wasn’t mentioned when we booked.

At the end of the season it was quiet and peaceful—perfect for someone wanting to relax away from the bustle, literally right on the beach. Breakfast was tasty and varied, and the staff were very friendly, especially at the bar and restaurant.

The space, cleanliness, food, location, and tranquility were all good. Breakfast had great variety, and the hotel restaurant, Sal, served food very well. The indoor pool was cold; it’s a nice space, but it feels more like a regular indoor pool. They should invest more in the spa concept—perhaps a hot jacuzzi instead of a standard pool. I stayed in the fall, so I didn’t use the outdoor pool, but the outdoor pool is cool.

The hotel is very nice architecturally and sits just behind the beach. The beach is long with wonderful golden sand. Breakfast was very good, with plenty of options, and the staff were very friendly. The pool was lovely. We never expected mid‑September to be off‑season in Portugal, but it appears to be. The hotel had very few guests except for two football teams on “camps.” One of the dinner waiters was very off‑hand; maybe she just doesn’t like Brits.
