The staff were super friendly, the room was nice, and there were extra facilities, but the outside metal stairs that lead to the room were endless.

The room was stylish, the bed very comfortable, and the breakfast area in the back yard was excellent and very clean; Svetlana and Nina were polite and friendly, though the breakfast could have had more variety.

We picked Regina because it sits right by the beach and the bustling pedestrian street full of cafés and restaurants, and the many good reviews made us feel confident. From the moment the bell rang and we stepped inside, it felt more like a warm, cozy family home than a typical hotel. Nina greeted us with a friendly smile, explained everything, and offered plenty of useful tips for our week in Varna. The other ladies—Svitlana and the rest of the Regina team—were all caring and friendly, and the cleaning staff kept the room spotless, just like the rest of the property. We stayed in an upper‑floor room with a terrace; we didn’t use it much, but it added space and a view over the town. The AC worked efficiently, cooling the room quickly, and the kettle and fridge were appreciated. If we hadn’t been so busy with the congress, we’d have liked to spend more time on the lovely courtyard surrounded by plants and flowers where breakfast is usually served. The only downside was the stairs—there’s no lift—so heavy luggage, elderly guests, or those with limited mobility should request lower floors, and if you want a terrace you’ll need to be ready for a workout. Varna is lively, especially in summer, so light sleepers might hear music from nearby bars late into the night, but that’s the price of staying in the heart of it all.
