De Pier Suites

“Uitzicht geweldig, kamer kan beter”

The view is amazing, the minibar is included, and the bed is good; however, for what it costs it’s just a simple room, not atmospheric, not very clean; breakfast was simple but okay; I expected more luxury for the nightly price.

“Een geweldige locatie, voor herhaling vatbaar!”

The staff were friendly, the entrance was very pretty, the room was clean and had all the essentials; the mini‑fridge was stocked with beer, soda, and a bottle of wine, free of charge, and coffee and tea were available with a treat; the beds were lovely and the view was beautiful; breakfast was varied and tasty; the location was ideal, and it was great to be able to enjoy all the fun sights right on the pier; we’re very satisfied!

The room size, comfortable beds, daily minibar restocking, and the bathtub give a real short‑vacation vibe; the breakfast offers a view and a small but excellent selection of dishes; vending machines at the pier entrance serve hot food and drinks, something unusual compared to home. However, the vending machine fare is limited and overpriced; we’ve visited this hotel several times and the value has dropped sharply over the years, especially in summer when rates are outrageous; the pier and hotel need major renovations, likely leading to a new hotel soon; empty shops give the pier a bad taste, especially at night when the restaurants are closed; we’ll probably return only after the renovation; housekeeping only arrives late in the afternoon, which can be exhausting for guests who want to relax in their rooms; breakfast often isn’t replenished until very late or not at all.

It’s a beautiful apartment with a truly stunning view, good beds, and everything looked tidy; the only downside was the room smelled like sewer water from the bathroom, which made the experience less special.
