It wasn’t a home away from home; it was a complete reset from home, yet still had everything we needed. We stayed for four nights and it felt like two weeks. The host and her assistant were perfect, the pets were perfect, the accommodation was perfect, the tiny town was perfect, the beach was perfect, the coastline was perfect, the passing ships on the horizon were perfect, and the absolute emptiness was perfect—like another coastline. The Wi‑Fi was too perfect, a real nuisance that let my husband keep “just checking” his work emails, but if there had been no Wi‑Fi, I wouldn’t have been able to watch the ships on the horizon.

If you’re hunting for a spot in Scarborough, this is it—Treetops apartment nailed it, and the place was spot on. The host was incredibly friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. We enjoyed every minute and will definitely come back!

We stayed at Nature Lodge for four nights and wished we could have stayed longer. The bed and bathroom offered a sea view, actually the whole apartment. Getting into the apartment requires climbing a few stairs. Friendly dogs greeted us, Stanley helped carry our luggage, and Janis gave great tips and always asked if we needed anything. Phone reception was weak, but Wi‑Fi was good.
