A great spot to stay in the Yorkshire Dales. The village is lovely and has several options for evening meals, all within walking distance. Breakfast choices were great and there was a kitchenette available for guests.
“We had a lovely 4 day break in this historic house with a wonderful host. We would happily stay there again.”
The property was full of history with a delightful spiral staircase to the bedrooms. Our room looked out over the church and we were able to park opposite off the road. Helen was a delightful host who was very friendly and full of useful information. The property is walking distance of three restaurants/pubs and we ate in all of them. The breakfasts at the property were excellent. Minor dislikes: we would have preferred a walk‑in shower rather than a bath, although getting into the bath wasn’t too hard.
Everything was fantastic, breakfast room was excellent, the hosts were fabulous and very helpful.

Sykes House and its hosts Helen and Graeme are charming. We were very comfortable and the breakfast each morning was exceptional. We ended up staying an extra night because we enjoyed it so much. We will definitely come back if we can
