“Insgesamt ganz gute Unterkukft wenn man etwas entspannen möchte, aber relativ nicht das beste Preis Leistungsverhältnis”
The staff were very nice and attentive. The facility was well maintained, though the beach wasn’t the most beautiful and the place felt a bit dated. Maumere is about a 25‑minute scooter ride away, which might be more of an advantage than a drawback. The mosquito net was too small for two people. From 5 am to 8 am, some roosters crowed loudly. Breakfast was decent but not extravagant.
The rooms are very spacious and clean, furnished entirely in Balinese style. The staff and owner are friendly and warm, creating a very homely atmosphere. The entire complex is kept very natural, with plenty of plants where you can sit and read. We had a lovely stay. A hot shower isn’t something you can take for granted on Flores either, so we really enjoyed it – thank you! :-)
The resort sits on the waterfront and also has a convenient pool for low tide. The restaurant offers a wide variety of food. The bungalows are cozy, with a large room, a large bathroom, and a nice terrace to enjoy a tea or a bintang. The staff are always available, quick and kind, helping in every situation, and they’re very friendly. Every morning the grounds are swept and leaves collected. For us the location was a plus because we deliberately chose to stay away from the city, but it does mean about a 20‑minute scooter ride to the center. The city isn’t that interesting, so a slightly remote spot is actually a quality. Additionally, a large village with supermarkets is just 10 minutes away.
“Wir hatten dort eine sehr schöne Zeit”
Budi Sun Garden Beach Resort boasts a stunning tropical garden. The bungalows come fully equipped with everything you need. The staff are wonderful and always helpful. Excursions such as snorkeling, diving, or hiking in the nearby area can be arranged through Budi.
The place was spotless, both the accommodation and the beach, and there were plenty of spots to sit on the sand and in the gardens. The only hassle was having to place your meal order at least an hour ahead and specify the time, yet we still waited 45 minutes for it and the dessert never arrived, leading to another long wait. Nothing serious ruined our experience in this beautiful venue, but one of the two rooms we rented had no Wi‑Fi signal, so if you need it, ask for a room close to the reception.
