“Amazing! It would have been a mistake to go anywhere else”

I fell in love with this tiny haven by the pond, where the quiet cove gave me the peace I craved. Whether I paddled at night, lounged in a hammock, or had a chill spot indoors with friends, everything was thoughtfully arranged. The attention to detail was incredible—mosquito spray, sunscreen, a cooler for the beach, scuba gear, even a sun hat were all stocked and free. Rosie, the host, accepted my last‑minute request to stay and my room was amazing. Breakfast, included in my booking, was simple but sufficient with tea, coffee, and seasonal fruit. I would have liked a place to watch football, since it was World Cup season.

The rooms were always spotless. The pool area was clean, well‑maintained, and comfortable. The innkeeper was phenomenal—very accommodating, helpful, and gracious. Customer service of this caliber is rare these days. The bed, however, was a little too firm.

“Beautiful and relaxing place Woukd highly recommend.”

The property was beautifully maintained. Rose was a wonderful hostess and very accommodating. The hotel was super clean with everything you need to relax. Nothing else to note; the landscape and interior were pristine. Some roosters crowing can be heard, but they’re not on the property—just something around the island that can’t be helped.

Rose was the best hostess ever. She was incredibly kind and went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable. I had a wonderful experience at Shangri-La—it was definitely the best choice! I hope to come back for another vacation in the future

“Excellent. Would go there again!”

The location on a lagoon is beautiful, with a lovely pool and facilities. Sun umbrellas, chairs, and even bikes are available for free. It’s close to the main tourist area but still quiet.
