We booked a Junior Suite with Sea View for our Sicily trip and Veronica greeted us warmly, helping with a late check‑in and offering plenty of local tips that were handy for spontaneous plans. She even lent us a sun umbrella, and the room was tidy, cozy, and in a quiet spot—perfect as a base for day trips. Parking is public, just 50 m from the house, and we always found a free spot. Veronica lives in the same building, in a separate section; we passed through her area to enter the suite but never saw her, so we enjoyed privacy. However, the suite didn’t match the description: the promised coffee maker/kettle was missing, teas were displayed but couldn’t be brewed because the room only had a small stove and no kettle. There were no glasses, so we used plastic cups from the terrace. On day two we asked for two plates, a coffee spoon, and a wine opener, but were told it was not allowed to bring food onto the terrace or into the house; the host cited pandemic rules and said they couldn’t provide plates or cups. The terrace restrictions were disappointing, especially since the listing implied it was part of the suite. The grill shown in photos is also unavailable. The host mentioned municipal and pandemic regulations, but these were not disclosed in the listing and are unusual for Sicily. In short, the place is clean, quiet, and good for overnight stays, but if you expect to brew coffee, eat on the terrace, or use the grill, you’ll need to be aware of the unclear restrictions.
