A beautiful spot right in the middle of the Düsseldorf marina, a well‑kept houseboat that’s truly special. Contact for questions and problems was friendly and quick. All essentials are on board. However, there is no information about the marina itself (e.g., whether you can use marina facilities for a fee, what the hours are). The houseboat is accurately described, yet in reality it’s quite small; the sofa bed is comfortable but occupies the only room, making it a tight space for two people. The arrangement for the toilet with multiple users is beyond my expectations. The departure instructions are unusually specific compared to other holiday rentals that cost half as much.

The houseboat sits beautifully in Düsseldorf’s Medienhafen, looks very appealing and is lovingly decorated. The kitchen is superbly equipped, with dish soap and cloths available, and hand soap in the bathroom. Another plus is that the owners are very reachable on mobile. The sun terrace is lovely and there’s a large gas grill on the lower terrace (we didn’t use either). Unfortunately, the boat is presented as having a living room with a sofa bed and a separate bedroom, but on arrival we found that’s not the case; a mattress was provided for our daughter in the same room. The instructions for water usage were partly hard to understand. As mentioned, the owners were reachable. We couldn’t find the hair dryer that was listed.
