The hotel is very pretty and the facilities are normal, but it feels a bit expensive for what it offers. They were remodeling in the afternoon, which caused a lot of noise, and they didn’t inform us about it. They charge the full price and subject guests to the renovation chaos.

The food is good, the staff are very friendly, and it’s close to Volcano Irazu. The shower system feels a bit outdated and the nearby road is noisy.

We spent one night there; the rooms are basic but the beds are comfy and the breakfast is truly excellent. The road is right up close, and the final price differed from the reservation amount because of exchange‑rate changes—a first for me—and the rate felt a bit steep given the level of facilities.
