The place is very beautiful and quiet; the houses and rooms are large and clean, the pool is fantastic for refreshing and relaxing, and we instantly fell in love with Luna. The owner and staff are excellent, and the breakfast is tasty. Everything was fine, though you have to walk a bit to reach the nice beach and the beach bars like Lazy Coconut, but that was no problem.

The gardens and pool area were nice, and the rooms were comfortable and quiet, with hot water and air‑conditioning. The restaurant next door served good dinner. However, the location was not ideal; we prefer the Komoko side for easier access to amenities, and from this side everything is a walk, especially food, cash, and laundry. There’s no food after 4 pm, and breakfast juice is an extra charge – something we haven’t seen elsewhere on Gili Gede. The bathroom sinks smelled awful; we’ve stayed at other places on the island without that problem. We liked the resort itself, but the owner’s aggressive, rude, disrespectful, and demeaning attitude toward guests and online reviews was the main reason we wouldn’t recommend or return to this resort.

The place was calm and the staff welcoming; I recommend the banana and pineapple pancakes. Lunch on site is available and delicious. For dinner you have to walk to the port, a 30‑minute nature walk through the village, which can be tough to organize if you have very young children.

It’s a very quiet part of the island, so you don’t hear the mosques in the morning, and every night you get a beautiful sunset. The setup is small – only 2 bungalows and 2 double rooms – so it never feels overcrowded. The staff are amazing and super friendly, snorkeling gear is provided, and the reef is right in front of the beach.
