“Charming old house with a terrace and peaceful countryside vibes in Tskaltubo”
The house is a very beautiful old building with a terrace in Tskaltubo. It feels like it’s seen better days, but the hosts clearly do their best to keep it in good condition. It’s about two kilometres from the centre and from the abandoned Soviet sanatoriums, which were the main purpose of our trip. The area is very quiet, roosters crow in the morning, and there’s a magical forest nearby. Friendly dogs live on the property and the trees are in bloom, so it truly feels like staying at your grandmother’s house in the countryside. The host was very kind, brought us a kettle, and treated us to cookies with tea, making sure we had everything we needed and felt comfortable. There was no private bathroom in the room, but since we were the only guests, we had the entire floor to ourselves. The bed was a bit uncomfortable (too soft), and the soundproofing isn’t great—we could hear the hosts on the first floor—but this didn’t spoil our stay at all.
