“Never again”
The hot tub was nice, but it was right next to a train track and I wasn’t told until a train passed and woke us up.
The location was convenient, breakfast was tasty, but we had to wait a long time for the waitress and the food. The room was clean and the staff were friendly and helpful, yet the nightly rate felt a bit steep. The restaurant’s food was great, but the service was slow; it took a while to get our menus and meals.
“We shortened our stay and switched to a different hotel.”
Everything was terrible. At check‑in the front desk said they’d pre‑authorise $50 on my card, but that charge became $250 without my knowledge, and a second $50 appeared later. When I asked, they explained it should be $50 per night, so for a 4‑night stay it should have been $200, yet $300 was held. The room was dingy, very dark, and felt abandoned. The bathtub was clogged, and when I showered I was half‑swimming in murky water. I left after the second night to move to another hotel. At check‑out the front desk couldn’t find the $250 pre‑authorisation that a colleague had made, so they had to do a third charge and then refund it. They reversed the $50 charge, but told me I’d have to call my card provider to sort out the pre‑authorisation. That wasted time and made the stay even more unpleasant. As a paying guest, dealing with the staff’s inefficiency became part of the experience. For the price of Prestige, you can find better value elsewhere without having your blood pressure boil.
Everything was perfect, no complaints.
“Too expensive for a night’s stay.”
It’s convenient, right on the main road, but the walls are thin and I woke up very early because of the next room’s occupants. There were plenty of rooms available, yet they put us next to each other.
