Located right in the center of Appingedam with parking available. The staff were friendly and the breakfast offered many options with fresh coffee. The rooms can get a bit noisy in the evenings, but the soundproofing is difficult in a historic building; it wasn’t really a bother for me.

I was surprised that the Wapen van Leiden was not a provincial hotel that disturbs, but rather a well-run Chinese HCR. The shower cabin was very small and the screen wheels wouldn’t stay in the rail. The TV couldn’t receive any channels.

Basic but good. The location is fine. The elevator was an issue; the stairs to the toilet/bathroom were high and I have trouble walking up stairs.
