Hotel Čingov Slovenský raj

The staff were great and very friendly, the human approach was top, breakfast and dinner were excellent and the food varied each time, nearby are Maringotka cafe, Bin Haus, a science promenade. The hotel had a few small flaws that spoiled the overall impression—perhaps minor, but they shape the picture: a cracked, peeling paint on the balcony, no privacy wall on the balconies, old doors in the rooms that don’t block noise, a cracked plaster on the wall in the wellness area, and so on.

The hotel’s reputation makes a better impression. The building itself probably dates back to an earlier era, but the sensible use of space lets different client groups coexist without interference (families with kids, low‑altitude tourists, architecture lovers of nearby towns and castles, etc.). Add good food and you get a very pleasant offer, though it definitely won’t satisfy a group of hardcore enthusiasts. It would be worthwhile to improve arrival signage—both physical (road signs) and on digital maps (easier to locate a smaller neighboring property).

The staff were friendly, the kitchen was good, the wellness area was nice. The room was old and the bathroom was small.
