The inn was fairly clean, and the host kept everything tidy. The loft has slanted walls, so tall people should watch their heads. Because I didn’t notice the 16:00 check‑in rule, I arrived around 14:30 and probably disturbed the host’s lunch break, for which I’m sorry. I stayed three nights, and in the middle of my stay no one cleaned the room or took out the trash. Breakfast was homemade by the host, a pure English country breakfast that, while not as abundant as in London, was still tasty. Some items required a one‑day advance order. Portions were a bit small; two of us Chinese guests didn’t feel full, so the first time I asked for extra bread, I only received two and a half slices, and I felt embarrassed to ask again later. I’d suggest putting the bread maker outside so guests can toast their own bread, which would also lighten the host’s workload. If you want to experience a British countryside vibe, give it a try.
