“Overall it was a great stay”
The hotel was nice and clean, though the car park spaces were a bit tight but we managed.

The oceanside property feels modern and newly refurbished, sits in a quiet part of Mackay, the beds are comfy, and the place is very clean. It’s still under construction, so the breakfast that was supposed to be included wasn’t available because the restaurant was closed for works, and the reception area was full of cigarette smoke.

The location was pretty central and close to everything, the bathrooms were a good size, clean, and nice. We waited for ages at reception for someone to come serve us when we checked in, and when someone finally arrived they were unenthusiastic to put it nicely. The mattress had a big hollow from being well‑used and we kept rolling into it in the middle of the night. We found someone’s false eyelash in the bed sheets, which smelled a bit off too. The TV hardly worked, took ages to respond to remote commands, and kept crashing and turning off randomly. Parking is terrible, no allocated spots for each apartment, and if you do manage to get a spot, you have to do a 20‑point turn to get in and out. The continental breakfast was sub‑par at best.

Rooms were clean and modern. Car park and modern rooms. Breakfast included. Bed wasn't as comfy 2 beds put together to make a queen bed. Not much of a selection on breakfast

Used the property as a stop off after flying in from the UK before moving on to visit family. Location was fairly close to the town and the staff welcoming. On arrival the room was a good size, clean with adequate amenities, the king bed was really comfortable with excellent linen, meaning that we had a good sleep after 24 hours travel. Air conditioning worked well. The included breakfast the next day was continental buffet type which was okay with plenty of tea/coffee available. Would use again and would recommend to anyone looking for a convenient and comfortable short stay when arriving in Mackay. Its more of a bed and breakfast place, you'll have to go out if you want lunch/dinner
