Our second stay at Siri Poshtel with kids was perfect for Bangkok: quiet old‑town location, close to main temples and great food nearby, helpful staff, and we’ll come back. The only downside was not liking leaving Bangkok.

The staff are fantastic, and the location is great. There are a few ladies working at night in the area, but that didn’t bother me at all.

The room is very clean and the bedding is very pleasant. The reception is very friendly. The location is superb. The breakfast room is not air‑conditioned.

The room is very spacious, the bathroom is large, the bed is very comfortable. The bathroom looks clean only on the surface: behind the fixtures it was full of dirt. The location is terrible: it takes 20 minutes to reach the nearest metro stop and the streets with restaurants and cafés close after 7 pm (the nearest 7/11 is at least 10 minutes on foot) and the daytime quiet neighborhood turns into an open‑air mess at night, which isn’t ideal for walking with my daughter. The à la carte breakfast was a joke: when I asked for sunny‑side eggs I got an omelette, when I asked for Benedicts I got scrambled and regularly cold because the kitchen staff, who neither spoke nor understood English, kept trying to give me only eggs and I had to insist to get the full dish (as shown on the menu photo) that I needed with the now‑cold eggs. Six mornings I had to turn on the coffee pot myself to get it at least a little warm… not to mention the ants in the fruit and jam (never touched, of course). I tried to bring it to the reception (where they understood English) and they smiled politely but nothing changed, and when I asked for a one‑hour late check‑out I had to pay an extra 100 THB. If I’d paid for the whole stay in advance I would have left.
