The house itself is spacious with cozy rooms and a breathtaking view. We were very disappointed with the road leading to the house; you need an off‑road vehicle, otherwise you can’t reach it. The road is very narrow, steep, and high in the mountains, and you have to pray you don’t collide with another car because passing isn’t possible. It stops far from the house, and from there you have to walk. Otherwise, the house and its view are unique.

“Secluded, historic and tranquil.”

The home was secluded on a mountain top visible from Maiori, a stunning property with an excellent host. There were trails built ages ago that led down to the city. We loved it. Getting there required a long hike because general car access isn’t available, but the landlord was willing to help with his all‑terrain vehicle when needed.

The location was truly stunning; if you’re visiting the Amalfi coast and want unbeatable views, this place is almost unbeatable. The beds were exceptionally comfortable. The house had a real authentic old‑time feel, almost like a movie set. The owner was very kind and helpful. The description’s warning about accessibility is upfront and honest. It’s terrifying to drive up and down, especially in a large automatic rental car. We are experienced drivers used to Donegal’s crazy roads, but this drive felt too much for us. Once up there we didn’t drive again until we had to leave. There are steps and a path—a very steep 20‑minute walk that my husband and teenage sons struggled with in the heat, and I didn’t try it. The owner was extremely accommodating, picking us up and dropping us off as close to the house as possible, but it was still a walk. We were traveling with my 76‑year‑old aunt who was stuck in the house and teenage kids who wanted to go into town and party, but there was no way back. The house was entirely unsuitable for our needs, but I’m still glad we went because it was a unique experience.

“Haben keine Nacht dort verbracht”

The view is nice. The front yard was dirty. The pool, as shown in the photos, was not there. The location and the drive to the villa are a total disaster.
