Gus is a truly phenomenal host, and we were blown away by the meticulous attention to detail at every possible stage of our stay. The room was beautiful, the breakfast delicious, and the location second to none. He went above and beyond to make our time at Highlander House unforgettable, and we all genuinely enjoyed every moment. An absolute joy! The only downside was that we had to leave early – we had to go home! :)

The house was gorgeous and located right by the sea front, just five minutes from Rothesay town centre. Hosts Gus and Sherry were outstanding and did everything possible to make our stay wonderful. Nothing was wrong.

A beautiful place in a fantastic location with an exemplary, helpful, thoughtful, and informative host. Mr Campbell’s recommendations let us enjoy a break with wonderful highlights. The little touches designed with guests in mind were charming. The food offering was extensive and flawlessly executed. Looking out at the stunning herbaceous borders was a bonus. We’ll never forget those great breakfasts and will recommend it to everyone we know. We just wish we could have stayed longer.

Really friendly, helpful, and courteous people. The Highlander house was clean, comfortable, and the food was amazing. We thought we had booked a great place, but the visit totally surpassed our expectations. It was an exceptional place to stay and offered great value for our money. Nothing was wrong; we were very satisfied with the accommodation.
