There was no barrier‑free access to the room; the elevator only stopped between floors, so we had to climb stairs to reach the elevator and then again to reach the actual floor.

The house sits in a unique spot with a great view, and the rooms are spacious and reasonably furnished, though it’s clear the property could use a refresh. Breakfast was acceptable, featuring good rolls. Unfortunately the restaurant was closed, and after discussing it we were offered to eat at a partner venue in town. The wellness area includes an aging sauna that still works fine in a rather plain room, but towels weren’t provided; we were again offered to use the partner hotel’s facilities, which made the value proposition feel off.

I booked a single room with a balcony that offered a lovely view, and the whole staff felt warm and family‑like; breakfast had everything I could ask for, so I was more than satisfied with my stay. 5 stars
