The location was nice, right in the middle of nowhere, and a boat ride takes you to the island; the room could use more seating chairs and essential items like a coffee maker.

The property is a gem; the benches on the curb outside the rooms, hammocks, and pool are great additions, and activities like kayaking and village walking really enhance the experience. Rahul greeted us and hosted us; he is a lovely guy who went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable. He accompanied us on a kayaking trip for more than an hour because we were nervous, clicked lovely photos, served us tea in the kayak, took us on a village walk in the morning, and served us evening snacks; I wish he had been there for our dinner too. The only way to reach the property is by boat; if you come by private vehicle you need to reach a boat point where staff will take you to the property. We followed the location from Google Maps and it was the wrong location, so after calling the staff they sent us the correct boat point. We wasted about an hour on course correction. The property boasts a lot about its in‑house food, but it is average at best; since the property is so remote, other food options are virtually out of reach and the hotel food is a choice one has to make. Maybe it was the Kerala cuisine that didn’t suit us, but the guests should be asked about the menu they would like to be served and prepared accordingly; we were not asked and were just served what was prepared. No fault of the chef, who did prepare brilliant tea when we asked for it. P.S. we had vegetarian food, so I cannot comment on their non‑vegetarian offerings. The water geyser provides hot water for a maximum of 5 seconds; after a few seconds cold water starts coming from the shower, perhaps the geyser’s capacity is quite small. The hotel asked if we were celebrating any occasion; I told them we were celebrating a birthday and would love arrangements. They asked if a cake would be fine and we agreed. I waited the entire day for the staff to get us the cake, even contacting the person I spoke to about the cake, but they ghosted me after we checked in. This felt a bit irresponsible, as they first conveyed that arrangements were possible and then backed out abruptly without notice. We spent a birthday without a cake and couldn’t even order one because outside delivery is inaccessible at this hotel. There are some restaurants the staff can take you to through the canals.

The backwater location is beautiful and peaceful, offering a very relaxing, family‑friendly atmosphere. The room was spacious and comfortable for three members, with good AC, a clean toilet, hot and cold water, and clean water. The food was fantastic, and we really enjoyed kayaking, boating, live fishing, and the swimming pool. Special thanks to Karthik for his warm hospitality, excellent coordination, and helpful nature. We had a very pleasant stay and enjoyed our experience; nothing major to dislike. Everything was lovely overall, and having a few more lunch options and greater variety in the menu would make the experience even better.

It’s a special place in the backwaters; you have to take a boat to get there, so it feels like a little adventure. It’s more basic than it looks in the photo—the main photo is AI—but we were ok with that. It’s amazing to have time to walk and kayak around the backwaters. One of the men speaks great English and we really enjoyed our time with him; he whipped out a speaker and we had a karaoke session which was fun, and he took us for a walk. The other man was pleasant but had no English, so it was hard to communicate and get advice. We took out the kayaks a few times and weren’t told there was an extra charge. We were surprised by this, as the place is so remote the advantage is that the kayaks and the very small pool don’t require much effort on their part, so I feel like it should be included.
