I paid £90 for two nights, but the hotel cancelled my booking the morning we were supposed to check in while we were traveling, and they never accommodated us. A month later, I still haven’t received a refund and they won’t respond to me.

I arrived to find the hotel closed, so I couldn't stay at all, and everything was a disappointment.

The lady at reception was polite, but the room looked nothing like the pictures: two strips of wallpaper on one wall, rusted nails everywhere, even in the bathroom entrance; it seemed dirty except for the bed sheets, which had stains visible through the fabric on the mattress. The windows hadn’t been wiped in years, probably because they’re about to fall out. The triple sleeper for children was unsafe, the travel cot boards and mattress were broken, and I had to stack blankets for my 1‑year‑old to keep his head from tilting. The shower had stains, there was no sanitary bin or any bin at all. The only bright spot was that we were allowed to check in early and the lady was nice. The corridor upstairs had a more intact ceiling than our room. One of the windows we tried to close fell off, so my partner had to wedge it shut; the wood was rotted and there was mold on the windows.

Everything was bad: the room smelled like urine and made me sick, animal hairs covered the floor and bed, the phone was off when I called, a woman just said you’re in that room and the keys were in the door, the door was wide open, dogs ran around the hall, there were objects everywhere, I had to walk around curtains that were hanging off, the wallpaper was coming off the beds, there were loose screws that my three kids had to sleep on, the bed safety thing wasn’t attached, there was no Wi‑Fi, no cups for a drink, and the list could go on. The whole experience was horrible; if this was the deluxe room, I dread what the standard room looks like. I’m reporting this because it should not be called a hotel; it’s worse than a pigsty and I would not recommend it at all. The photos are not what the room looks like.
