Pilliga Pottery Creative Farmstay

The place is super unique; we stayed one night and did a couple of pottery workshops, but I could have stayed a week; the food was amazing, the location perfect, and the road in was well maintained, making it easy for our 2WD—highly recommend.

The location is amazing, surrounded by the Pilliga forest, with gorgeous farm animals, a comfortable room and bed, and a decent shared bathroom; the walks on the property are wonderful and it’s only an hour from the Warrumbungles, plus the cafe/restaurant offers excellent food and drinks and you can meet other travelers; it’s dog friendly. The only downside is that muffling outdoor carpet (marine carpet) or something similar on the metal stairway to the Farmhouse rooms would be great, as would basic cooking facilities in the shared kitchen—just a simple induction cooktop, a saucepan and a frypan.

This beautiful community feels like a generous hug—full of creativity, quirky spaces, and plenty of wildlife, and the cafe is a wonderful bonus; we loved everything.

“If you want a real getaway from the city and enjoy nature, that's your go-to!”

Everyone, the staff, the spot, the food, the surroundings, the animals, the calm, the gorgeous night sky – everything. We had a room with a shared bathroom, which was also really ok – we decided it was ok for us for the night. Nothing negative.
