We stayed at a partner property, but it was still a great stay; Kiddo, the host, was very helpful and kind, showing us the area and the cuisine. Lungi, the guide, gave us a truly authentic experience, taking us into the heart of Soweto and its people, highly recommended for an authentic and safe experience, with nothing to add.

We did not stay at this hotel because the owner had a problem with the accommodation and cancelled the reservation.

We ended up staying at a friend's B&B close to Vilakazi Street after a “problem” popped up with our booked rooms, and the bike tour with Lungi turned out to be very informative—he can paint a vivid picture from his own experience of the “struggle.” Highly recommended!

The room was spacious with a lovely ensuite and the host was friendly, but I was hoping to meet other backpackers, and the breakfast stayed the same for three consecutive days with no fruit offered.
