“Geweldig”

What a wonderful, beautiful room and a super location. We slept wonderfully, ate well, and had a great breakfast. We received a lot of information about eateries and activities via the app. REALLY GREAT. The only downside was that we had to walk up stairs to the second floor, but the luggage was carried by a goods lift and taken by the staff.

“Ottima soluzione per visitare Ragusa, Modica e Noto e percorrere le vie di Montalbano”

The historic palace is gorgeous, right on Scicli’s main street, just steps from the town hall and the “questura” set of Commissario Montalbano. The room décor is modern yet luxurious and very elegant. It’s a huge room, exquisitely refined, with a super comfy king‑size bed, perfect air‑conditioning and a massive shower. I didn’t book breakfast because only room service was offered and I don’t like eating in my room, so I used a kiosk that opens super early and serves whatever you want at tables in a shaded public garden. The rooms are on the second floor and there’s no elevator; the stairs are quite a workout because the building is a historic palace with high arches. The in‑room sink might not appeal to everyone, but it didn’t bother me. The building sits in the historic centre, so cars can’t reach it because the area is closed to traffic, though a bit of luck can get you a parking spot nearby.

The rooms are gorgeous in this former palace and the location in the centre is excellent, but there’s no lift and they’re on the second floor. Rooms facing the street can get fairly noisy in the evenings, though that isn’t the host’s fault.
