“Amazing stay, great atmosphere, lovely people and a real home away from home!”

I absolutely loved my stay here! The hostel sits perfectly on the Esplanade. The beds are super comfortable, each with its own locker, privacy curtain, and power outlets. The rooms are quiet, making it a really comfortable and relaxing place to stay. The atmosphere is amazing! It feels like a little family, and it’s so easy to meet people and make new friends. Everyone is incredibly friendly and welcoming. The staff are fantastic (special shoutout to Lucas! 😊), always helpful and making everyone feel at home. Everything is clean, well maintained, and the value for money is excellent. It’s honestly hard to find a hostel like this in Australia! I couldn’t recommend it more. Nothing.

“Good value for Cairns, right on the Esplanade”

The location is excellent right on the Promenade and close to the night market. You basically walk out onto the waterfront and there are loads of food places nearby. Monica is very friendly as was the chap on reception who was also helpful when checking in. It’s a good price compared with other options in Cairns for the same or similar. The price point reflects what you’re getting; it is a basic stay. As many of the reviews mention, the air conditioning unit in the single room is very loud but helps to muffle any noise from people dining near the Esplanade and if you treat it like ‘white noise’ then it’s really fine. A second pillow would be nice but the bed was comfy enough without. I’d stay again.

“Nice stay and great location.”

The location is excellent! I booked a private room and it was lovely, spacious, and had a comfortable bed. The staff was very helpful and the hostel itself was very quiet given its location. The air conditioning in the room cannot be turned off, so it can get quite cold; there are extra blankets if needed, but I still found it a bit chilly at night.

“Amazing”

The place sits right where you want to be and the staff are genuinely nice, the whole building is kept tidy. The showers, though, left a lot to be desired – water pressure was weak and the temperature was all over the place. I also wish they organized more group activities so guests could mingle a bit more.
